# How to Set Service Dependencies for the Jet Data Manager Scheduler?

If your[Jet Data Manager](https://globaldata365.com/jet-data-manager-training/) (JDM) Scheduler service does not start automatically after a server restart, it may be due to missing service dependencies. Setting a dependency ensures that the Scheduler waits for SQL Server to fully start before attempting to run. Follow the steps below to configure this dependency.

 

#### **Step 1: Open an Elevated Command Prompt**

On the Jet Data Manager server:

1. Open Command Prompt as Administrator
2. Enter the following command:

   

> `SC CONFIG "Jet Data Manager Scheduler XX.X.X.XX" depend= MSSQLSERVER`

- Replace Jet Data Manager Scheduler XX.X.X.XX with the version installed on your system.
- Replace MSSQLSERVER with the service name of the SQL instance hosting your projectRepository database.

#### **Step 2: Verify the Dependency**

After the command runs successfully:

1. Open Services
2. Locate and open the Jet Data Manager Scheduler service
3. Go to the Dependencies tab

You should now see SQL Server listed as a required dependency.
