The Jet Excel add-in allows you to access the Jet tab directly within Excel, making reporting faster and easier. However, sometimes the Jet tab may not appear automatically. Since Excel remembers add-in settings per user, each user on a shared workstation or server must configure Excel individually. In this guide you can learn how to enable or disable Jet excel add-in.
If you open Excel using the “Jet Reports” desktop icon, the Jet add-in is enabled automatically before Excel starts. But if the Jet tab is missing, you can enable it in two ways:
Using the Enable Jet Add-In app
Manually enabling the Jet Excel add-in
Method 1: Enable Jet Add-In App
If you have administrative privileges, the Enable Jet Add-In app is the easiest way to enable Jet in Excel.
The app runs automatically right after installing Jet.
You can also launch it anytime from the Windows Start Menu.
Method 2: Manually Enable the Jet Excel Add-In

If the app does not work, you can manually add Jet to Excel by following these steps:
Open Excel and navigate to the Add-ins section:
Excel 2010 and later:
File > Options > Add-Ins > Manage > Excel Add-ins > Go
Excel 2007:
Office Button > Excel Options > Add-Ins > Manage > Excel Add-ins > Go
In the Add-Ins window, click Browse…
Navigate to the Jet Reports installation folder (default:
C:\Program Files (x86)\JetReports
)
Select the file JetReports.xll and click OK
If prompted to replace the file, select Yes
Once done, the Jet ribbon will appear in Excel.
Tip: If you have other Excel add-ins enabled, consider disabling them temporarily before enabling Jet to avoid conflicts.
