How to Run Power Apps in Web Browser?

You can run Power Apps (canvas or model-driven) directly from a web browser or the Power Apps mobile app. Here’s a simple step-by-step guide to help you get started in a browser.

What You’ll Need:

 

  • A Power Apps license (included in Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365 plans, or available via Power Apps trial or plan).

  • Access to an app that you created or that someone shared with you.

  • A supported web browser and device.

Step 1: Sign In to Microsoft 365

 

  1. Go to Microsoft 365 Apps Page

  2. Sign in with your work or school account.

 

Step 2: Find Your App

On the Home page, you’ll see apps listed under “Business Apps.” These include:

  • Apps you launched in the past week

  • Apps you created

  • Apps marked as Featured by your admin

  • Dynamics 365 apps you have access to

Note: If your app isn’t listed, use the web link method below.

 

Step 3: Run an App Using a URL on Web (If Not Found on Home)

 

If the app doesn’t show up:

  1. Go to Power Apps or the Power Platform admin center.

  2. Locate your app.

  3. Select the More Commands (…) > Details.

  4. Copy the Web link.

  5. Paste it in your browser to launch the app.

You can also save this link as a bookmark or share it by email.

Connecting to Data Sources

 

If the app connects to a data source or uses device features (camera, GPS, etc.), you’ll be prompted to grant permission the first time.
