- Learn step-by-step instructions on installing Jet Reports for Dynamics 365 Business Central. First of all, you’ll need to download Jet Reports from the insightsoftware’s download page
- Find the files where they are downloading in your browser.
- After the downloading is complete, you can go to the folder where the files are downloaded.
- Right-click on the file and extract its contents…
- Open folder 1 – Jet Reports – REQUIRED and run the Jet Setup.exe file. You can only install a single version of Jet Reports at a time. This makes upgrading the current version easy as the newer version of Jet Reports replaces the older version.
- You will see the End User License Agreement which needs to be scrolled till the end to be able to Agree.
- During the Installation process you have different options and can proceed with only Client Components, only Server Components, or All Components:
Client Components are those applications that reside on your local system. Jet Excel add-in is the primary example of this.
Server Components are those applications that typically reside on a server (for example, Jet Hub and the Jet Service Tier). These would require an administrator to implement them properly.
We will choose Client Components in order to install the Jet Excel add-in.
- After selecting Client Components, you have to select the specific features you want to install.
- You will be prompted to enter the Activation code, sent to you at the time of purchasing Jet Reports.
This code looks something like this: 12ABCD34-56E7-890F-A1BC-234D567EF89A

- You can finally click the Install button to complete the process and install Jet Reports.
